World-wide, Dean has worked very successfully across Olympic and professional sport. This experience has been with the Australian Institute of Sport, Queensland Academy of Sport, Athletics Australia, Brisbane Broncos, Adelaide Crows, Leicester Tigers, Brumbies Rugby and the Australian Wallabies respectively. Of late, consulting in France to Racing Club Narbonne Méditerranée and Fédération Française de Rugby. Also, Dean is currently consulting with the Australian Institute of Sport, Australian Wallabies, Japan Rugby 15s programs and the World Rugby.
Dean Benton has an extensive sporting background playing Australian Rules football and as a sprinter in professional athletics. As a result of this Dean has a reputation for preparing athletes holistically for the running demands of all football codes.
In terms of results, Dean has taken teams to 3 grand finals, in 3 different competitions at the very highest level, in 2 different rugby codes, across 2 continents within 7 years.
Throughout this journey, Dean has been able to move along the coaching-management continuum, functioning effectively either as a coach, performance director or performance consultant.
